Week Eight (3/14-18) Introductory Illustrator image due March 18
Once at the site select Adobe Illustrator CS3 and start with the first tutorial. Each one is about 3-4 minutes long. You will find that there are many shared aspects, tools and procedures between PhotoShop, Flash and Illustrator.
After each tutorial or concept, experiment using one of your photographs as a background (which will eventually be made invisible). Save your sketch(s) in your working Illustrator file. You can work on the same image(8″ x 10″) throughout this tutorial – experiment with the concept being taught in the tutorial. You should have a completed an Introductory image in your working folder by the end of the 14th tutorial, by Week 8 (March 14-18).
Week Nine (3/21-25) Illustrator Project Assignment 1 due March 25th
Based on three of your own original photographs, create 3+ illustrations based on a short story (essay) involving a major natural disaster (hurricane, tornado, forest fire, tsunami, etc.), two+ animals from northern Minnesota and a fruit pie. Use propositions to create motion in the title/theme (see Instructor for explanation). Load images (thumb and web resize) and essay into Illustrator page on your web site.
Video Tutorials for Adobe Illustrator CS3
Quarter Four
Week One (3/28-4/1) Class Music Video Based on song, students will video tape groups of students singing that song and then edit the video in WMM. Each student will be responsible for “X” video and syncing the sound with their images. Week one will be preparing shot sheets, collecting footage.
